Virtual Gallery at College of Design

After a bit of a struggle, I've arrived at an interesting point. I've come to the realization that I'm much more interested in the broadcasting aspect of my original proposal and I think that generating ALL the content as a whole is perhaps too much for me to undertake (biting off too much?) in just 4 weeks. Therefore I think what may be better is to facilitate the broadcasting rather than creating every aspect of it. So I still want to set up the projection/virtual gallery on the windows, however I will be pulling from other sources for content: most notably YouTube, the internet Archive, various blogs, Flickr, and everything else that I would normally look at on a daily basis. This way, the content is easy to change, varies on many more levels, speaks about our process, and simultaneously becomes a space for our studio to put up work (slideshows) and testimonials from us (which gets us exactly where we should be: students talking to students).

mmm, if you do this, I really think the system should allow for a continuous broadcast. This entails setting up queues so that there's never any lag time in the selection of works for projection/displays. or... setting up a system so that we can break apart a cheap keyboard and use its connections on the exterior of that broadcast space. (like a remote, or some old-school television set that you can flip through)
